No, and this is a critical point: large models are not necessary for simple use cases. For example, lightweight models are often ideal for tasks like translation or summarization. That’s why we offer a range of models tailored to the specific needs of our clients.
We have also developed a precise mapping to match the optimal model to each use case. This approach addresses economic and environmental concerns while ensuring optimal performance.

What impact will AI have on human work?

We strongly believe AI will free up time for the inherently human aspects of work. By handling repetitive tasks—even in highly skilled professions—it allows employees to engage in more meaningful interactions with their managers and colleagues.

What are the next expected developments for LLMs?

 There are multiple avenues for improvement. Specifically for LLMs, we are enhancing result accuracy and refining the understanding of linguistic nuances, such as humor. There is also significant work underway to adapt models for edge devices.
Broadening the scope to generative AI as a whole, the focus is on integrating data types beyond text. For instance, we recently announced our latest multimodal model, Pixtral Large.
