From its early years, 3DS OUTSCALE has been committed to the open-source approach, convinced of the benefits it brings to our employees, our clients, and the broader technological community. In addition to the clear advantages of collaboration and sustainability in this approach, the development of open-source tools enables us to remain agile, responsive, flexible, and fosters innovation through the contributions of passionate talent.
Every year, during the CLOUD DAYS, the flagship event of 3DS OUTSCALE, our open-source team presents tools that help our clients and partners streamline or optimize tasks when using OUTSCALE’s Cloud services.
Below is the replay of Matthias Gatto, a Developer within our Open-Source team, demonstrating some new tools in a terminal. A terminal represents a command-line user interface that allows interaction with an operating system or application by entering text commands.
In this video, Matthias Gatto introduces an OSC-TUI tool that enables developers to maintain a graphical interface similar to Cockpit without leaving the terminal and staying in their preferred environment. He demonstrates through practical examples how the tool can be used for various tasks, including managing virtual machines (VMs), creating custom security rules, making API calls, using commands like “curl” to retrieve data from the web, and employing other tools for data manipulation.
Our team at 3DS OUTSCALE is delighted to contribute to a more open, inclusive, and collaborative technological ecosystem.
